May Program Meeting
Iraq MEDEVAC Missions: Managing Projects in a Hostile Work Environment
Presented by PMICIC
Most Project Managers would define a "hostile work environment" based upon their own life experiences. For 15 months, Army National Guardsman Major Timothy Stoner commanded Indiana's first Black Hawk unit in Iraq. Their Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) mission took 30 unarmed helicopters to some of the most hostile environments in the Middle East. Tim and his wife Tiffany, left behind with four young children, chronicled their vastly different journeys into, during and out of war. This visual presentation will follow their family's unique reflection during a time of war, and help demonstrate that basic project management principles are applicable to many aspects of our life.
