Elections for the Board of Directors
The PMI Central Indiana Chapter Board of Directors is made up of dedicated volunteers who constantly strive to add value to the membership and to forward the best interests of the chapter.
The President and Vice President are elected to a one year term. All other Board members are elected to a 2-year term, with the Board staggered so that some positions are open each year. Each Board member is authorized to recruit a committee of volunteers to provide support in his/her duties, some of these committees are already in place.
The 2010 Election will be held at the June 17, Central Indiana Chapter meeting and all PMICIC members in good standing are encouraged to vote. The positions open for this year's election are:
- President
- Per the Chapter Bylaws, the President shall:
- be the chief executive officer for the PMI CIC and of the Board;
- have general charge of the business affairs and property of the PMI CIC;
- general supervision over its other officers and agents;
- perform such duties as are customary for presiding officers, including making all required appointments with the approval of the Board;
- serve as a member ex-officio with the right to vote on all committees;
- chair all meetings of the members and meetings of the Board;
- perform all duties incident to the office of the President;
- see that all orders and resolutions of the Board are carried into effect.
- Term: 1 Year
- Requirements: Candidates must be members of the Central Indiana Chapter in good standing and must have served a minimum of 1 year in a board position.
- Per the Chapter Bylaws, the President shall:
- Vice President
- Per the Chapter Bylaws, the Vice President shall:
- perform the duties and exercise the powers of the President and when so acting, shall have all the powers of, and be subject to all the restrictions upon, the President in the event of his or her death or inability to fulfill this role;
- in general perform all of the duties incident to the office of the Vice President and such other duties as, from time to time, may be assigned to him or her by the President or Board.
- Term: 1 Year
- Requirements: Candidates must be members of the Central Indiana Chapter in good standing.
- Per the Chapter Bylaws, the Vice President shall:
- Vice President of Communications
- Per the Chapter Bylaws, the Vice President shall:
- ensure the PMICIC communications are established and executed;
- facilitate the dissemination of communications initiated by the PMI CIC to targeted audiences;
- develop and disseminate the PMI CIC newsletter;
- oversee the development and maintenance of the PMICIC website and the PMPlatform product;
- in general perform all the duties as, from time to time, may be assigned to him or her by the President or Board;
- Appoint, oversee and hold accountable the following Committee Directors:
- Director of Sponsorship
- Director of Correspondence
- Director of Information Technology (IT)
- Director of Outreach
- Director of PMPlatform
- Term: 2 Years
- Requirements: Candidates must be members of the Central Indiana Chapter in good standing.
- Per the Chapter Bylaws, the Vice President shall:
- Vice President of Professional Development
- Per the Chapter Bylaws, the Vice President shall:
- develop and conduct the PMICIC Education programs, activities and materials in accordance with the purposes of the PMICIC;
- perform all of the duties incident of the Vice President of Professional Development and such duties as, from time to time, may be assigned by the President or Board;
- Appoint, oversee and hold accountable the following Committee Directors:
- Director of Education
- Director of Career Development
- Director of Programs
- Director of Speaker Acquisition
- Director of Mentoring
- Term: 2 Years
- Requirements: Candidates must be members of the Central Indiana Chapter in good standing.

- The name of the position(s) are interested in.
Additionally, a brief bio of the nominee consisting of 200 words or less must be submitted to the address above no later than May 13, 2010.
