As the PMI Central Indiana Chapter evolves, becoming less like a club and more like a company, the systems that support the chapter must also evolve. The PMPlatform software, which our chapter designs and owns, has become a powerful Enterprise System with three external clients (licensing chapters).
As the PMPlatform committee works to add more clients, and build more functionality into each release, more attention must be paid to repeatable processes and best-practice software methodologies. One area that needs attention is user training.
The Project Lead - Training Management will lead the development of the training function, including the following areas of focus:
- Identification, Evaluation, and Acquisition of a tutorial creation tool
- Development of a Training Strategy Document, to include:
- Various user categories (end-user, power user, admin)
- Various training scenarios (new user, new-release training for existing user)
- Committee-member training
- Development of standardized, repeatable Release Documentation
- Detailed release notes for power users (those who utilize the admin portions of the system)
- End-user-facing release notes (those who do not have access to "Manage this Site")
