As we transition into the final quarter of 2026, the PMI Central Indiana Chapter (PMICIC) has built incredible momentum. From landmark event turnouts to steady membership growth, Q3 has been defined by impact, engagement, and strategic preparation for our future.

Here is a look back at Q3 by the numbers, highlighting the strength of our community and what lies ahead.

Chapter Pulse: Growth & Retention

Our community continues to expand across Central Indiana. Through late summer and into early autumn, our membership metrics reflected strong recruitment and rising engagement.

  • 1,727 Total Members: Reaching a high point in late September, our total active membership base stands strong.
  • 349 New Members in 2026: We officially crossed the 300-new-member milestone in August and have continued climbing steadily since.
  • 79.31% Retention Rate: August membership retention saw a significant uptick from 73.98% in July, showing strong ongoing commitment across our chapter.
  • 36 Active Volunteers: Supported by new appointments—such as a dedicated ATP Relationship Manager—our volunteer core powers every initiative we run.

Event Spotlight: ProDevDay 2026 Success

August featured our premier annual event, Professional Development Day (ProDevDay) 2026, which brought together project professionals from across the region for learning, networking, and skill-building.

  • 194 Registered Attendees: A standout turnout showcasing high demand for local professional development.
  • 95.9% Attendance Rate: 186 registered attendees joined live for an exceptional day of sessions.
  • 85% Financial Reconciliation Complete: Beyond the event day itself, dedicated leaders like Rosann Bateman have been working behind the scenes on thorough closeout, capturing data and lessons learned to give the 2027 team a head start.

Engagement & Experience Highlights

Quality experiences for members and volunteers remained a focal point throughout the third quarter:

  • 86 Net Promoter Score (NPS): Our July program scored an outstanding 86 NPS with zero detractors recorded, demonstrating high satisfaction with chapter offerings.
  • Global Exposure: In September, Rosann Bateman, Bolanle Oladokun, and Adrienne Roman represented PMICIC on the global stage through PMI’s Path to PMP webinar, and Carol Baker presented the Marketing Spotlight for PMI North America’s Chapter Marketing Sync.
  • Redesigned Member Journey: Work led by Shawn Hochstetler and team is streamlining new member communications, including a refreshed welcome journey and dedicated orientation initiatives launch.
  • Volunteer Recognition: October kicked off with Together We Thrive: An Evening of Appreciation, honoring the high-impact work of our volunteer community and launching formal quarterly recognition.

Looking Forward to 2027 and Beyond

Q3 set the stage for major strategic moves as we prepare for upcoming chapter milestones:

  • Leadership Transition: With the 2027 Board slate announced, incoming leaders are joining planning discussions throughout Q4 to ensure a smooth runway before formally stepping into their roles in January.
  • Volunteer Pipeline & Capacity: Chapter leadership is focused on mapping volunteer demand and talent supply to offer micro-volunteering, short-term project roles, and ongoing leadership opportunities.
  • PMI New Membership Model: Preparing for PMI’s 2027 membership model updates our Chapter is positioning our operational infrastructure for scale.
  • Road to 40 Years: All foundational work happening today is shaping the runway for PMICIC’s 40th Anniversary celebration in 2028.
