Overcoming Analysis Paralysis – Understanding Decision Latency
During this reality-based, technically-sophisticated look at how to quantify the cost of decision-making delays and gain insights to demonstrate the pragmatic steps your leaders must take to avoid what management guru Peter Drucker summarized as, “Culture eats Vision for Lunch!”
According to the highly respected CHAOS Report, delays between questions and answers drive huge, negative impacts into project outcomes. It is counter-intuitive but the value of a shorter decisionmaking time-interval is greater than the value of a higher-quality decision.
Every PM knows methods and tools alone – even great ones like Lean, Project Management and Agile – cannot reduce project costs unless senior decision-makers make timely decisions and take action. Learn how to show Leaders that their Vision is being eaten by slow decisions that drive disrupted schedules, cost overruns and sometimes disastrous outcomes. You cannot afford to miss this powerful event!
- Apply the CHAOS Report research to quantify the cost of decision-making delays impacting project managers, teams and outcomes.
- Describe the pragmatic steps leaders must take so project success can be achieved.
- Determine the steps required to apply methods and tools to reduce costs with senior decision-makers exercising timely decisions and taking action in various organizations.
- Summarize the learning-development process to continuously improve team results.
