Are you looking to build your network in your town or city, and feel that most PMICIC events are too far away for you to travel to? Apply to volunteer as a Networking Host! We are looking for hosts throughout Indiana, not just in the Indianapolis area. We'll support you by promoting your event to project managers and PMICIC members in your area and via our communication channels.

What you'll do:

The PM in the AM Networking Host serves as the primary facilitator for one monthly morning networking event hosted by the PMI Central Indiana Chapter. These informal one-hour sessions provide project management professionals with an opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, discuss current industry topics, and strengthen the local project management community. The host creates a welcoming environment, encourages participation from all attendees, and facilitates discussion.

Hosts may volunteer for a single event or multiple events throughout the year.

Volunteers for this opportunity must be available in person on Wed, October 28, from 6:00-8:00pm. A second date that you can also apply for is Wed, December 9, from 6:00-8:30pm.

PMI Central Indiana is partnering with the Project Management @ Purdue Student Club to support their innovative semester-long project sprint simulation. This fall, nearly 60 students are working in two parallel “companies,” each organized with Operations Managers, Project Managers, and functional teams (Finance, Marketing, Design, etc.).

At the end of each phase, students present their work to a panel of professional judges for evaluation and feedback. These presentations are designed to simulate real-world stakeholder reviews, preparing students to navigate the same challenges they’ll face in professional project management environments.

This opportunity is eligible for Giving Back PDUs for maintaining certifications.
