Our Core Values & Culture

Make It Easy — Empower Connection and Growth

We remove barriers for members and volunteers to connect, learn, and lead. By keeping things simple and accessible, we make it easy for every project professional to find their place, pursue growth, and experience success through our community.

Aim Higher — Lead with Purpose and Curiosity

We challenge ourselves to evolve with our profession and to serve others first. Through trust, creativity, and open communication, we inspire each other to think bigger, build confidence, and reach new heights together.

Be Welcoming — Celebrate Every Journey

We build an inclusive community that values the diversity of thought, background, and experience. We honor each individual journey and create space where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported in their professional growth.

Embrace Curiosity — Learn Boldly and Experiment Bravely

We seek new ideas that move project management forward. We’re not afraid to test, adapt, and learn — turning feedback and even failure into fuel for innovation and continuous improvement.

Together We Can — Thrive Through Community

We succeed through collaboration, kindness, and shared purpose. By working side by side, we amplify our collective impact — advancing our profession, strengthening relationships, and making a meaningful difference in Indiana and beyond.

Legacy

PMICIC has proudly served project professionals in Indiana for more than 35 years. Chartered in 1988 as an official chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and incorporated in 2001 as a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit professional association, our chapter has grown from a small network of dedicated practitioners into one of the most active and diverse PMI chapters in the region. Today, PMICIC represents more than 1,500 members across industries, continuing to champion excellence, innovation, and community in project management throughout Central Indiana.
