April 2022 Monthly Program: SAFe Elements for Success

Ways of Working

Anticipated market shifts and uncertain conditions require businesses to adopt purposeful agility. In today’s digital space, many organizations are turning to the Scaled Agile Framework® to achieve and maintain it.

SAFe®, a proven approach for Lean Enterprises, is a knowledge base of integrated principles, practices, and competencies for achieving business agility. If it seems familiar, that’s because it is! SAFe® pulls from some of the most powerful methodologies and toolkits such as Lean, Agile and DevOps.

During this interactive presentation we’ll uncover what makes SAFe® a preferred choice for organizations seeking transformation, and how traditional project management plays a vital role in such implementations.

In our time together we’ll discuss how SAFe® has become a staple for scaling Scrum, driving agile maturity and most importantly, driving Agile product delivery. Learn the 10 critical success factors that support organizations in right-sizing the adoption and application of SAFe.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • A general overview of SAFe and its impact
  • An exploration of parallels to other popular frameworks

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY

Amber Chandler is a resourceful consultant and committed coach who thrives at the intersection of Project Management, Agile, Scrum and Lean.

Amber currently works as an IT Consultant in the role of a Release Train Engineer, leading an Agile Release Train (ART) through a SAFe transformation. Before that, Amber worked as a SAFe Scrum Master, Agile Coach and held many other project management roles in IT, finance and pharma.

With her background and love for empowering others, Amber founded SOP Evolution LLC, a training company focused on providing professional development to “solution oriented professionals” that have taken an interest in project management. It allows Amber to partner with aspiring Agilists and those looking to grow as practitioners, by taking them through simulated experiences.

Amber is committed to the trade, as seen in her continuing education cadence. Amber is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) and a SAFe Program Consultant (SPC). She holds 8 certifications and a B.S. in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. If you ask Amber which certification or degree made the biggest impact in her career, she’ll tell you, “every single one of them!” Amber is a true practitioner and believes that raw information is useless until tested. Once implemented, investigated and adjusted for the environment, it’s now a powerful tool.
