1. What motivates you to go to work?
My main motivation is the desire to learn new things in the Project Management field. I started developing Engineering projects for Nestle USA in 2012 in Eau Claire, WI, and was transferred
to our Nestle plant in Anderson, IN in 2015. Since then, I have worked as Maintenance Supervisor, Reliability Engineer, and Project Engineer and I´m always looking for opportunities to learn something new and use it to improve the quality of my Engineering projects.
2. What do you love about Project Management?
What I love about Project Management is that its tools, techniques, methods, and processes can
be applied to any type of project, it doesn´t need to be a work or professional project, it can be a
task at home or any type of personal project. If it has a definite beginning and end, is not a
continuous or ongoing process but has a specific and desired result, it is a project! Whether we’re
moving to a new house, buying a car, taking a week off with our family, or just cleaning out our
garage, Project Management has all the tools we need to complete those projects on time, within
budget and in scope, obtaining the results that we were expecting.
3. What are some of your PM contributions?
As I am about to graduate from my Master of Science in Project Management program and
enroll in my next adventure, a Doctorate of Business Administration in Project Management; I
see the enormous potential and bright future that this field can offer to new generations so, I have
been serving on the Student Advisory Board at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and will
definitely serve on the Alumni Advisory board to coach and encourage students to pursue their
dreams in the Project Management field.
Another PM contribution is the volunteer work that I have been doing at the Project Management
Institute – Central Indiana Chapter (PMICIC). Since last year, I have had the pleasure of serving with a great group of smart, talented, and visionary Project Managers who work around the clock to offer opportunities for professional and career development, mentoring, and networking to any project professionals in the State of Indiana.
4. How would your friends or family describe you in three words?
This is a pretty difficult question, but I would say: Passionate – Pioneer - A go-getter
5. Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
I don’t know how fun this might be, but I don’t have self-control if you put a bag of Raisinets®
or Reese’s® in front of me! I love them, and once I start eating them, I just can’t stop!!!
